I’m testing the waters a bit with this blog. I love reading, I’d rather read than do anything else (including eating and sleeping). I’m less certain about writing about what I’m reading. It’s not as if I don’t have opinions or take the time to think critically on what I read, but putting my thoughts to words has been a challenge for me. I want my writing to be perfect and it’s so far from that, it’s hard to imagine anyone being interested in my aimless ramblings.
If I’m honest, I don’t think this blog will really get anywhere. I don’t have many friends or family inclined to dedicatedly follow my online endeavours, so it’s unlikely a total stranger would find my blog terribly interesting. However, I do think that it’d be good for me to get into the habit at least of writing.
My aim is to once a week (or whenever inspiration strikes me), pick a book and give a review. I’ll give a brief description of the premise, something nice about the book, something I didn’t like, and whether or not I’ll read it again and if I’m glad I read it.
IF you are reading this, please let me know your thoughts. Good idea? Bad idea? Suggestions? Requests? Advice? Criticism? Anything and everything is welcome.
